An Afghan refugee has revealed how he almost boarded a dinghy which sank within the English Channel final week, killing 4 migrants.
In a camp close to Dunkirk, a 27-year-old Afghan stated Kurdish smugglers had stopped him boarding the vessel that capsized within the Channel in the course of the week as a result of it was so overcrowded.
The person, who claims to have been a military physician in his homeland, stated he and dozens of others made a ten-hour journey by foot to get to a distant seashore to make the crossing.
‘I really feel fortunate I used to be not on the boat. However I’ll strive once more,’ he stated. ‘I can’t return to Afghanistan due to the Taliban, I’ll attempt to work as a physician in England.’
