A non-public jet crashed over Russia on Wednesday, killing all 10 individuals on board, emergency officers stated. Mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin was on the passenger record, however it wasn’t instantly clear if he was on board.
Unconfirmed media reviews stated the jet belonged to Prigozhin, founding father of the Wagner personal army firm.
Russia’s state information company Tass cited emergency officers as saying that the airplane carried three pilots and 7 passengers. It was not clear if Prigozhin was amongst these on board, although Russia’s civilian aviation regulator, Rosaviatsia, stated he was on the passenger record.
The airplane was en route from Moscow to St. Petersburg and went down within the Tver area, greater than 100 kilometers (60 miles) north of the capital. Authorities are investigating.
