Turns Out Venom: Let There Be Carnage Almost Included Extra Of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man

Regardless of going the franchise being often known as Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, the movie sequence specializing in Spider-Man-connected villains that launched in 2018 has but to really present Marvel’s Net-Slinger… properly, with one small exception. In Venom: Let There Be Carnage’s mid-credits scene, Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and his symbiote companion had been transported to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and instantly they noticed footage of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man on TV. Now director Andy Serkis has indicated we might have seen much more of Holland’s Spidey within the Venom sequel.

When Venom director Ruben Fleischer turned too busy with Zombieland: Double Faucet to work on Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Andy Serkis stepped in to helm the sequel. This was Serkis’ third time directing a film, following 2017’s Breathe and 2018’s Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, and he recalled to GQ how Let There Be Carnage’s mid-credits scene got here to be, saying:

It was not sure as to the extent of involvement that world would meet with our world… There have been drafts which had extra, just a little extra, of the opposite. The unstated. It was very, very fastidiously chosen.
