The View’s Whoopi Goldberg Fires Again At These Criticizing The Barbie Film

Greta Gerwig’s Barbie got here out of its record-breaking opening weekend with much more spectacular stats, breaking The Darkish Knight’s Monday field workplace file for Warner Bros. With widespread acclaim oozing from the vast majority of those that really watched the movie in theaters — take CinemaBlend’s personal assessment of the Margot Robbie comedy, for example — one may suppose it has earned common goodwill thus far. However that’s actually not the case for a subsection of the inhabitants who has been up in arms in regards to the movie’s feminist views and the extremely satirical tackle patriarchal society, and The View moderator Whoopi Goldberg clapped again at such offbase criticisms. 

A few days after paying respects to The View’s supportive late co-creator Invoice Geddie, the ladies of The View shifted their focus to Barbie fever, displaying a montage of hyperbolic criticism in clips from Fox Information, Ben Shapiro and extra, mainly claiming Margot Robbie’s character and all of her Barbieland associates are right here to destroy America, all youthful generations, male masculinity, and many others. Whoopi Goldberg adopted up the montage in a bamboozled state, and voiced her disbelief that that is the film garnering probably the most hate from overtly politicized crowds. In her phrases:

It’s a film! It’s a film a couple of doll! I believed y’all could be pleased: she has no genitalia, so there’s no intercourse concerned. Ken has no genitalia, so he can’t be… It’s a doll film. The youngsters understand it’s colourful and it’s Barbie. They haven’t lived via what the adults have lived via. So after they’re seeing this, that’s not how they’re taking a look at it. The youngsters are taking a look at it as a Barbie film. You guys, I would like you all to inform your daughters why you’re not taking them to see the Barbie film. I would like you to elucidate to them what’s ‘flawed’ with Barbie.
