Six miners died after a floor collapse at Zimbabwe’s Bay Horse mine in Chegutu, 100 kilometres (62 miles) west of the capital Harare, state tv reported on Friday.
ZBC TV stated six our bodies had been retrieved from the mine by Friday night time, whereas one other 15 miners have been nonetheless trapped underground and rescue efforts have been underway.
The mine collapsed round 0800 GMT on Friday, trapping 34 miners underground. Though 13 miners managed to flee, 21 had remained trapped underground, ZBC reported.
