Russia’s International Ministry condemned on Saturday what it referred to as Ukraine’s “terrorist assault” on the Crimean Bridge, saying it put harmless civilians’ lives in danger, and vowed retaliation.
“There will be no justification for such barbaric actions and they won’t go unanswered,” ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated in a press release on the Telegram messaging app.
Earlier, Russia’s Defence Ministry stated its forces had thwarted a Ukrainian rocket assault on the 12-mile (19 km) bridge, which hyperlinks Russian-annexed Crimea to Russia throughout the Kerch Strait.
The ministry stated Russian forces had additionally shot down numerous Ukrainian drones concentrating on the peninsula.
