Breathtaking photos present how a child was delivered inside its intact amniotic sac.
The superb second was captured as little Nicholas entered the world in Muriae, a city within the southeast of Brazil on January 2.
Start photographer Ludmila Gusman photographed the mesmerising photos which present the newborn sealed throughout the sac.

Generally known as an en caul start, the phenomenon is thought to occur in lower than one in 80,000 deliveries.

Nicolas was born healthily weighing 7lb 7oz (3.38 kilograms) and measuring 20 inches (51cm).
