A grandfather sends movies of himself singing from his care house to his autistic grandson who lives 350 miles away to assist him go to sleep. 

George Kerr, 87, lives in Renfrewshire, Scotland, in Elderslie Care Dwelling.

His grandson Keiran Kerr, 13, lives over 300 miles away in Banbury, Oxfordshire.   

Kieran who has autism struggles to speak however has a ‘distinctive bond’ along with his grandfather George, with the pair talking often on FaceTime.  

On these calls, musically minded George typically sings to Keiran, and the younger lad loves it.

So final month, care house employees recorded George singing Bing Crosby’s ‘White Christmas’ to ship to Keiran.

Keiran’s mum, Andrea Kerr, 53, revealed the teenager adores the touching video and watches it each evening, as a result of listening to his grandfather sing calms him down and helps him go to sleep.

Andrea, a civil servant, stated: ‘Keiran is George’s solely grandson and so they share a really distinctive bond. They all the time have.

‘They join by George’s singing – it is all the time actually resonated with Keiran for some cause, and it helps him loosen up.

‘Since he obtained the video of George singing White Christmas, Keiran has watched it each evening.

Andrea revealed that Kieran shares his video along with his buddies, and is pleased with his singing grandad.
