Supporters have been left incredulous after Paddy Pimblett was awarded a unanimous victory over Jared Gordon.
Pimblett, 27, fought Gordon in Las Vegas on Saturday night time and was controversially awarded a victory by unanimous choice – with observers on social media and past left incredulous as to how the judges might come to that call.
The Liverpool-born fighter – who has gone 20-3 in his profession to this point – disputed claims that the combat was ‘very’ shut and mentioned that he dominated all through.
The British fighter advised Joe Rogan when it was put to him that the combat was shut: ‘No it wasn’t. That wasn’t shut.
He then added: ‘In no way, I received the primary two rounds and coasted within the third. I knew I used to be two rounds up and I did not need to do nothing harmful and threat shedding the combat.
‘I knew for a reality I received the primary two rounds fairly simply.’
