A heartbroken household have paid tribute to a ‘carefree’ teenager who died after he was struck by a taxi.
Pedestrian Elliot Ayre, 19, suffered deadly accidents after the cab smacked into him shortly earlier than 2.40am yesterday.
The teenager was strolling alongside the A689 within the Toronto space when he was hit by the Peugeot car, which was heading in the direction of Bishop Auckland, County Durham.
Paramedics attended however the teenager was pronounced lifeless on the scene.
