St George Illawarra star Junior Amone has been hit with critical costs after allegedly attacking a tradesman with a hammer and leaving him with critical accidents.

The Dragons playmaker was arrested on Thursday and brought to Wollongong police station, the place he was charged with recklessly inflicting grievous bodily hurt (in firm) destroy or harm property and intimidation.

He didn’t search bail, which was formally refused.

It is alleged the assault occurred final month close to the star’s residence in Wollongong on the NSW south coast.

Amone’s father Talatau Dal Amone was charged over the identical incident final month. 

The Dragons launched a press release saying Junior Amone’s matter has been referred to the NRL Integrity Unit.
