‘Homicide’ by college campus as police arrest suspect in his 40s after man died of ‘critical harm’

A suspect has been arrested on suspicion of homicide after a person was discovered lifeless inside a house in Cheltenham at this time. 

Gloucestershire Police mentioned they apprehended a person in his 40s after being referred to as to the property on St Paul’s Street at round 1.30pm. 

The alleged homicide sufferer was mentioned to have suffered a ‘critical harm’ and was pronounced lifeless on the scene by paramedics. 

The house, located close to the College of Gloucestershire’s Francis Shut Corridor Campus, stays cordoned off tonight. 

Police mentioned: ‘Regardless of the very best efforts of these offering medical help on the scene, the person was pronounced deceased.

‘Officers are within the early phases of an investigation and are interesting for anybody who has not already spoken to police to make contact with them.

‘A person aged in his 40s and from Cheltenham has been arrested on suspicion of homicide in reference to the continued investigation and stays in police custody at the moment.’
