Sir Geoff Hurst has paid tribute to George Cohen following his former England team-mate’s passing on the age of 83.
Hurst, who gained the World Cup in 1966 alongside Cohen, took to Twitter after listening to the information on Friday.
The 81-year-old posted: ‘Very unhappy to listen to my good friend and @England teammate George Cohen has died. Everybody, with out exception, at all times mentioned that George was such a stunning man. He will likely be sadly missed, my heartfelt ideas are with George’s spouse Daphne and his household.’
